Scottie Scheffler, the top-ranked golfer in the world, is on the brink of clinching his second Masters title at Augusta National. Heading into the final round on Sunday with a slender lead of one stroke, Scottie Scheffler managed a score of 1-under 71 on Saturday. His remarkable consistency is evident as he extends his streak to 39 consecutive rounds of par or better.

In the day’s final pairing, Scottie Scheffler was joined by Collin Morikawa, who trailed by just one shot at 6-under. Morikawa, the 2022 Masters champion, is also vying for his second victory at this prestigious tournament. Historically, the odds are in their favor, with 28 of the last 33 Masters winners emerging from the final group. During a tense moment when the lead was shared among four players, Scheffler executed an extraordinary approach on the ninth hole, narrowly missing an eagle, which propelled him into the lead at 8-under.
Meanwhile, Max Homa, positioned third at the start of the day with a score of 5-under, had a challenging round with no birdies, accumulating 17 pars and a single bogey. He concluded the front nine at 6-under. Ludvig Aberg, a newcomer to the Masters, began the day in fourth place at 4-under but moved up to 7-under after a birdie on the ninth. On the other hand, Morikawa faced difficulties with a missed shot at the ninth, resulting in a double bogey that brought him down to 5-under.
Outside the main contention, Tiger Woods wrapped up his first significant tournament in more than a year on Sunday afternoon. Woods had a disappointing final day, going 5-over and finishing the tournament at 16-over, marking his highest score to make the cut and his worst finish in a professional career. This round marked his 100th competitive appearance at Augusta National.
